The BLUE MOUNTAINS
BARBERSHOP CHORUS INC is known locally by the name "Blue
Mountainairs".
The group was established in the Springwood locality just over eleven
years ago.
They often come together
to sing in their distinctive style to fund raise for community organisations
and charities.
The "Blue
Mountainairs"
also assist their own charity The Northcott Society in Parramatta and
can often be found singing for the benefit of the Society.
The group will work
for a modest booking fee of $150 to raise funds for community organisations.
The "Blue
Mountainairs"
will always-welcome visitors to their rehearsals, which can be heard every
Thursday evening at the Salvation Army Citadel in Faulconbridge. Look
in music rehearsal hall off Grose Road Faulconbridge. You are most welcome
to join the group. Bring along your enthusiasm for good fun and forget
about being able to read music, is not necessary.
Today at our "
Australia G" Day"
the "Blue Mountainairs"
will have a great part to contribute to today’s program. They have included
in their bracket of songs of an Australian flavour such as Advance Australia
Fair, On the Road to Gundagai and other Australian well-known classics.
Today after their
stage performance the "Blue
Mountainairs"
will be busking around Glenbrook Park. You will find them under any shade
tree. Don’t miss out on enjoying their great performances.
